Barton Springs pool has officially reopened after 7 months and life is beginning to feel more like 2019 here in Austin, Texas.

Yes, masks and social distancing are still mandated in many indoor spaces, but all hiking trails, parks, bars, restaurants, retail shops, and other services are happily open for business.

It’s an unbelievably beautiful thing to witness everyone out enjoying the city again without fear.

I’m celebrating all business owners who weathered through the lockdown and made it through intact.

I know hundreds of thousands across the country weren’t so lucky. Some of the most famous and beloved restaurants and venues in Austin were forced to close for good.

The economy is swinging back up and the city feels vibrant again with the buzz of innovation and growth.

There is a huge influx of people from both East and West coasts moving to Austin as they flee the draconian policies still holding their state economies in lockdown.

Mass migration is underway around the U.S and I’m excited to see the innovation that emerges. After every storm, there is always sunshine.

Brace Yourself

As much hope as I always hold for our future, I’m concerned about the civil unrest that will no doubt occur after the November presidential election.

Time will only tell how things will unfold and all we can do is prepare ourselves the best we know how mind, body, and spirit.

We may not be in control of what candidates are selected, but we are always in control of our inner state and how we cope with external changes.

I will continue to pray for the mass awakening of humanity. I will continue to take action in the ways I can to embody the change I wish to see.

Ultimately, may we…

  • Remember and embody our sovereignty every day.
  • Stand and speak for what we believe in.
  • Lead with love from our hearts.

For ourselves, our families, our communities, and all future generations.

This world desperately needs our hearts wide open to navigate these chaotic times.

Remember, darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light and love can alchemize global suffering.

Cultivate your light as though our future depends on it because it does. Spread your love far & wide.

Much Love,

Amber Sears
