Setting clear boundaries for yourself and others is key. That’s why you must learn early on to say NO.
When you say no to what is no longer serving you now, a million more doors will open.
The people pleaser, caring, giving, service-oriented side of me ALWAYS wants to give more than humanly possible.
I see a world out there desperate for change, and I want you to know I am here to help with the shift.
I used to give my time, energy, and space away so freely that I was extremely depleted and burned out regularly.
There was nothing left of me for me at the end of every day, and I found myself falling into self-destructive thoughts, beliefs, and habits to cope with the emptiness and exhaustion. Sound familiar?
I didn’t realize back then the significance of self-care and setting boundaries. I didn’t realize that I can only give fully when I learn how to RECEIVE fully and fill my own cup up.
Sure, I understood this concept logically. But I found it much more difficult to embody this philosophy and maintain the self-care practices daily.
I didn’t want to say no and disappoint people.
I didn’t want to be perceived as weak or incapable. And that’s a legitimate fear for many.
I didn’t want to feel the inevitable guilt and shame that would arise when I did hold my ground.
I had hit rock bottom though, and I knew something had to radically shift immediately.
So, what did I do?
So, I started constructing boundaries, saying no, and adding self-care rituals into my morning.
Over the last several years, I’ve watched my life transform before my eyes simply by holding better boundaries.
I see this daily with the women I coach. Many of them are mothers AND entrepreneurs doing their absolutely best to juggle and succeed at it all.
They have huge missions and incredible gifts, but they struggle with carving out the time to prioritize themselves.
These women are warriors. Warriors that take the best care of everyone but themselves.
This must change, lovelies!
You deserve and are worthy of the time, space, and energy required to THRIVE, not just survive.
You are the only one who can decide what you will and won’t tolerate. How you respect yourself teaches others how to honor you.
How do you plan to honor yourself by saying NO more often? Let me know in the comments below!
Love & Light!
